You are a unique person with your own set of unique challenges. Accordingly, my approach will be tailored to meet your needs, while also being rooted in research-based theory and interventions. I primarily use an existential integrative style that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy, acceptance and committment therapy, and interpersonal therapy interventions. My style focuses on gaining clarity about your life situation, building coping skills, healing unresolved pain, and creating a life of meaning and purpose. I strive to create a safe, affirming environment of all of your diverse identities, including race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, abilities, etc., and my goal is always to help you get to where you want to be in your life.
We will work collaboratively to establish your goals and determine the best treatment options for you. As your work in therapy unfolds, we will regularly discuss your progress and make any necessary adjustments. You can expect for me to: provide a balance of challenge and support, flexibly respond to your treatment needs, and address concerns you may have about the therapy process.
